Locks of Raven Hair
47Locks of Raven Hair
Locks of raven hair,
Swaying lightly as debris
Once made of water sweeps
Over me.
I smile longingly as he slides his
thumb onto the sides of face that is
Not mine.
Those wandering lips, will they find
Somewhere to meet?
Through love, and it's grand design,
His past looks rough,
Remembering how pain lingers
On my bewildered soul.
Melancholy never shined, that is
Until sunshine came upon true love
And all it's bliss.
No longer shall these emotional Tsunamis
Breed harsh distinctions.
Created to destroy confidence and
Self-worth.
Nights every now and again leave my
Thoughts in clutter and sputter.
Rejection is a fine split of truth,
Reality and inhumane.
Pride is gone such as every yesterday
Flying to and from my heart.
Memories invade and disrupt
Love cycles compressed just to,
Reload and re-organize every
Notion of anything simply non-existent.
He can't be here.
He can't love.
He can't wonder.
Oh.
But how he does.
He does now that what was
Nothing.
Look into here sky blue eyes and
Remember everything.
Remember until your heart swallows whole.
The desert leave you high and dry,
You pitiful lowlife.
Names he called me were once so
Demeaning.
But really, he's unrealistic.
Oh and unworthy,
Tainted.
Sheltered,
Two-sided,
Coy,
Fish-like little boy with tricks
Up his sleeves.
Guess what? They're no longer clever!
At least, to such a woman as I.
Good-bye dearest chap,
But honestly,
I shall not care compared
To the truth of love that has
Faced me.
Everyday that I walked towards you,
I walked the farthest I could from
Anything sincere and Genuine.
You are nothing more than a
Two cent stamp trying to fly
First Class to Santa Fe, New Mexico
From New York City.
May your travels stink like old
And moldy Brie.
